Donald Chu, Director, Standard & Poor's

 

Donald H. Chu is a director and credit analyst in the financial services ratings group at Standard & Poor’s in Toronto. He is responsible for analysing a diverse portfolio of Canadian banks, insurance companies, non-bank financials, and asset managers.

Donald joined Standard & Poor’s in November 2000 following its acquisition of Canadian Bond Rating Service (CBRS). During his two years at CBRS, Donald was responsible for all ratings within the financial institutions group. Before joining CBRS, he spent 12 years working in positions of increasing responsibility within the credit department at The Toronto-Dominion Bank.

Donald is a Chartered Financial Analyst and is affiliated with the Association of Investment Management and Research, the Institute for Chartered Financial Analysts, and the Toronto Society of Financial Analysts.

Donald holds a Master of Business Administration from Queen’s University in Kingston and a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry and biology from the University of Toronto.
