Jennifer Drost

Ms. Jennifer Drost is Chief Compliance Officer & Senior Counsel, Canada for Travelers Canada. She also acts as Chief Privacy Officer. Ms. Drost joined Travelers Canada in December 2012 and played an active role in the integration with The Dominion of Canada General Insurance Company in 2013.

Ms. Drost graduated from Queen’s Law School (2000) and was admitted to the Ontario Bar (February 2002). She started her career at Goodmans LLP and has worked as in the areas of legal and compliance, focusing on regulatory compliance in various financial institutions including First Canadian Title, Walmart Canada (for Wal-Mart Canada Bank) and ResMor Trust Company. In Ms. Drost’s current position, she is responsible for leading the compliance function including oversight, strategic planning and delivery of effective compliance initiatives that support the objectives of Travelers Canada. This includes accountability for regulatory compliance matters, policy and procedure development and implementation, the ombudsman function, compliance related training, legislative compliance management and privacy. Ms. Drost is a frequent speaker on regulatory compliance matters at various industry conferences and represents Travelers Canada as a member of the Insurance Bureau of Canada’s Privacy Working Group.
