William J. Poutsiaka, SVP& Chief Investment Officer, Chartis Global

William J. Poutsiaka is Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of Chartis and is responsible for directing Chartis' investment strategies on a worldwide basis.

Mr. Poutsiaka is the former Chief Executive Officer of PanAgora Asset Management, a leading institutional investment advisory firm owned by Putnam and NLI.  While CEO at PanAgora, Bill led the transaction through which Putnam Investments became PanAgora's majority owner.  Prior to that, he was President and CEO of Arkwright Mutual Insurance Company, an organization he joined as Senior Vice President of Investments.  As CEO of Arkwright, Bill oversaw the merger that created FM Global, the leader in commercial property insurance and risk management.  He began his 33-year financial services career in the investment department at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company.

Bill received a B.A. from Muhlenberg College and an M.B.A. from Boston College.  He currently serves on the board of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.  Throughout the course of his career, Bill has had extensive experience serving as a director on the boards of both private and public companies, as well as non-profit organizations.
