Thank you to everyone who attended Bootcamp 2017!

Bootcamp was a day and a half of impactful P&C analysis, accounting and MSA Researcher training. It took place in a casual and collegial environment at the beautiful White Oaks Resort & Spa in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The agenda included optional CatIQ training.

Designed for Analysts, competitive/business intelligence team members, members of the finance/actuarial teams who use or are interested in honing their analytical skills and learning how to better make use of MSA’s analytical tools and reports. Participants enhanced their understanding and increased their productivity, agility and throughput for superior decision making that will be used every day.

  This is the hands-on portion. You will be given missions to complete using the MSA Researcher Platform and Excel using your laptop. Wifi and power will be available. ‘Gurus’ will be on hand to help you out if you get stymied.

  Track 1: Wider Views on P&C Insurance
  Get a head-start on year-end. Understand where the P&C insurance industry is heading and what seismic forces are at play. This will be an interactive session and audience views and questions will be welcome.

  Track 2: Integrating CatIQ Analytics into P&C Decision Making
  Understand the fundamentals of meteorology, CatIQ’s current and forthcoming features, the fundamentals of cat benchmarking, exposure analysis and damage degree analysis. The session will also touch on risk transfer and the fundamentals of insurance-linked-securities (ILS).

What do I need?
Laptop preferably with Excel installed.
How much is the cost of hotel and how can I book my room?
Bootcamp has secured a conference rate of $145+ tax per night.

Do I need an MSA Researcher account to attend?
No, if you don’t have access free temporary access will be given for the duration of the bootcamp.
What is the dress code?
Uber-casual. Jeans and sneakers are welcome!
Will there be takeaway material?
Yes – most sessions will include handouts.
