MSA is pleased to announce the launch two new datasets for the benefit of the Canadian P&C industry.
• OSFI PC5: Unpaid Claims and Loss Ratio Analysis Exhibit (UCLRAE).
The UCLRAE provides a wealth of actuarial information by accident year by detailed line by participating carriers.
• OSFI PC6: Appointed Actuary’s Report Discount Curve and other Supplementary AAR Tables (available via excel download).
These valuable datasets will enable users to delve even deeper into financials and actuarial exhibits in addition to the regulatory statement data that MSA continues to provide. The current release includes year-end 2023 filings for 67 companies comprising over 55% of the industry market share. MSA thanks those companies for making this important enhancement possible.
These new modules are available now and will only be available to re/insurers that participate by supplying MSA with the PC5 and PC6 returns.
At the moment the returns are available in statement view only and can be downloaded to Excel. MSA will investigate adding more analytical functionality to this data in the future.
These new datasets will be updated annually.
